Who we are |
Granjas Carroll de Mexico (GCM), is a Mexican company incorporated in 1993 with the purpose of breeding, marketing and processing pigs on the hoof. It is comprised by two private groups with international operations: the first one is Mexican, Agroindustrias Unidas de México (AMSA), with activities in the agricultural and food industries; and the second is American, Smithfield, main producer and processor of pork meat globally. |
Location |
GCM is located in the Perote and Guadalupe Victoria valleys, has 16 farms in the border region of Puebla and Veracruz. Built with state-of-the-art technology, it is considered the farm with the best technology in Mexico. |
Production |
GCM is the main pig producer in Mexico, with an annual share of 12% of Mexico’s pork production, equivalent to more than one million pigs. |
